I have been meaning to post this elopement, but this was such a special day, I really wanted to make sure that I told this story well which is why I haven’t posted! All the weddings that Alex and I shoot are meaningful and we are always so grateful to tell stories, but this one was sacred. Marriage is scared, but when we are the only people witnessing a marriage, guys I got the chill bumps.
Lisa and Phil are from South Florida and they wanted to forgo the traditional wedding with lots of people. They wanted to elope and then share their day with families and friends through the photos. They contacted us and shared their vision of their day, and I knew that this was going to be a dream come true to shoot this. They went against the norm and the pressures to have “The Wedding” and did it exactly how they wanted. This day was so them and we were so happy to capture every minute of it.
They wanted to get married in nature and so the searching began and they came across Washington Oaks on Google and they knew this was the place they would get married. It truly is an old Florida gem of a park.
Not only did they have the wedding of their dreams, but now they are honeymooning in Greece. They did it right. Lisa & Phil, thank you for allowing Alex to be a part of your wedding day. It was truly an honor. We absolutely loved sharing this day with you.
cheers
